Experience
30 years practice in clinical dietetics, health care administration and community nutrition.

Current Responsibilities:

  • Coaches’ dietetic interns through the nutrition care management section of the registration examination with the motto ‘preparing health providers who craft their own careers
  • Facilitates an interdisciplinary web based graduate course that adds dietary and herbal supplements to health providers’ professional practice portfolios
  • Provides nutrition counseling for study participants adding lifestyle modification to gastric stimulation for obesity treatment; leads Transneuronix, Inc. monthly support group meetings & consults via e-mail
  • Sub-contracts a Health Education Training Center grant providing programs like Clinical Nutrition Seminar®, an annual continuing education symposium & recruiting underrepresented students into health professions
  • Supervises students providing medical nutrition therapy in nutrition clinics. Ms. Baxter is a KU Health Partners, Inc. allied health specialist with Medicare provider #
  • Teaches diabetes management plus class sessions in allied health, medicine and nursing student courses
  • Volunteers with the Mid America Medical Reserve Corps
