How to apply to the Dietetic Internship Graduate
Program
Deadline for Application: The deadline is usually February 15. The American Dietetic Association and D&D Digital Systems establish the deadline for the computer match for programs that begin in the fall. For information on the process and computer match forms, contact your didactic program director or D&D Digital Systems at www.dnddigital.com.

Graduate Application: Print a copy of the KU graduate application. The $60 application fee can be paid online or by check or money order payable to the School of Allied Health and mailed with the application.
Supervised Practice Application and Three Recommendation Forms: The Standardized Supervised Practice Application form can be obtained from www.depdpg.org. Three recommendation forms are to be submitted with the application. Recommendations can be from the didactic program director, faculty, advisers, employers, or others who are familiar with your work and character.
Verification Statement: A verification statement or declaration of intent form is required. This form is completed by your didactic program director and must have an original signature.
GRE Scores and Official Transcripts: When you take the GRE, request that your scores be sent to the University of Kansas Medical Center. Submit two copies of official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate work completed from all colleges attended, and send them to the dietetics and nutrition department with your application.

Letter: A letter describing educational and career goals, reasons for selecting the program, and other pertinent information is required. If you are interested in earning a Master of Science in dietetics and nutrition after completing the program, state this in the letter of application.
Mailing: All of the required applications materials must be mailed to the program director at the address in this brochure by registered or certified mail, so that a return receipt is provided.

Notification: In April, D&D Digital notifies all internship applicants of their match status. Matched applicants must contact the program director by phone, e-mail or fax within 48 hours of receiving the notice to indicate whether they will accept the internship position. Acceptance: After receipt of the call, e-mail or fax, the program director sends each applicant a letter verifying acceptance of the internship position and additional information needed for admission. Graduate Studies later sends applicants a letter stating the conditions of admission and admission status.
